Chief Financial Officer, Washburn Center for Children CohenTaylor Executive Search Services Minneapolis, Minnesota (Hybrid) Chief Financial Officer (CFO) — Washburn Center for Children Minneapolis, MN with hybrid flexibility $150,000-$175,000 + benefits Washburn Center for Children, a leading nonprofit provider of children's mental health services, is seeking a strategic, mission-driven Chief Financial Officer to lead financial strategy, strengthen systems, guide a talented team, and partner closely with the CEO to drive sustainable growth and impact for a $30M nonprofit serving over 4,000 children each year What You'll Lead Organization-wide financial strategy, planning, forecasting, and reporting Budget development, financial modeling, and productivity analysis Internal controls, audits, treasury, and investment oversight Cross-functional initiatives that elevate financial maturity and operational effectiveness A finance team of 15, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement Who Thrives Here A forward-thinking financial leader who is: Skilled at building and strengthening financial infrastructure in a complex nonprofit Adept at translating financial insights into clear, actionable guidance Experienced in multi-revenue environments, government contracts, and/or healthcare billing preferred A collaborative partner who builds trust across teams and with the Board Committed to equity, diversity, inclusion, and culturally responsive care Energized by mission-driven work supporting children and families Qualifications Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA/MBA preferred 8+ years of progressive financial leadership experience (nonprofit or related sector ideal) Knowledge of behavioral health operations or revenue cycle management is a plus Experience with government grants, contracts, or regulated environments preferred Join a compassionate, equity-centered organization making a profound impact on children's mental health across the Twin Cities.
