Job Description:
Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial operations of a healthcare organization. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing financial management, revenue integrity, accounting, purchasing, patient access, and health information operations. The ideal candidate will be a strategic and hands-on leader who can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced hospital environment. Key Responsibilities Financial & Revenue Cycle Leadership Oversee all financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and revenue integrity. Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency and protect organizational assets. Lead month-end and year-end financial processes, reporting, and analysis. Monitor financial performance and provide recommendations to executive leadership. Supervise accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable, patient accounting, reimbursements, and cash management. Collaborate with executive leadership on capital planning and long-term financial strategy. Purchasing & Materials Management Oversee purchasing and materials management operations. Develop processes and controls to improve inventory management and purchasing efficiency. Support operational departments with supply chain and procurement initiatives. Operational Leadership Recruit, train, mentor, and develop departmental staff. Support operational improvements related to productivity, efficiency, and team performance. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, GAAP standards, and internal policies. Maintain strong working relationships with physicians, leadership teams, and staff. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or related field required. Master's degree preferred. CPA, CMA, or similar certification preferred but not required. 7+ years of progressive financial leadership experience within a hospital or healthcare environment. Strong knowledge of healthcare finance, budgeting, GAAP, revenue cycle operations, and regulatory compliance. Advanced Excel and financial systems experience required. Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Additional Information Must be able to maintain confidentiality of financial and patient information. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills required. Experience leading teams and driving operational improvements preferred.
