Job Description Job Description Lead the financial strategy that shapes the future of rural healthcare. Black River Health is seeking a visionary Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to guide financial strategy, strengthen operational performance, and support exceptional patient care across our mission‑driven critical access hospital. As a key member of the executive leadership team, the CFO oversees all financial operations, including accounting, reimbursement, revenue cycle reporting, and long‑range financial planning—while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and alignment with BRH's values of Excellence, Progressive, Integrity, Collaboration, and Compassion. Position Schedule Full‑time, onsite | Monday-Friday | Day Shift Key Responsibilities Provide strategic financial leadership and executive oversight of all financial operations Ensure compliance with GAAP, reimbursement regulations, and state/federal requirements Guide long‑range financial planning, budgeting, and resource stewardship Support operational and clinical leaders through strong financial analysis and partnership Promote organizational stability, sustainability, and mission‑aligned growth Candidate Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, healthcare administration, or related field or CPA required ; Master's degree preferred Minimum of 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience FACHE certification preferred Deep knowledge of healthcare finance, reimbursement, GAAP, and regulatory requirements Strong understanding of healthcare operations, risk management, and contemporary leadership practices Demonstrated success leading teams, optimizing financial performance, and supporting organizational strategy Compensation & Benefits Sign‑
