Please independently verify any critical information before relying on it. Description Controller / CFO In Training This is a new position which will report to the Chief Financial Officer. The Controller will be hands-on working and overseeing a variety of areas, including; Payroll, Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Budgeting, Financial Reporting, Annual Audits, Fixed Assets, Information Systems, 401k Administration, Medicare/caid Cost Reporting, Sales Tax, IRS form 990, IRS form 5500, etc. Full-time, Salaried Exempt Office hours are Monday - Friday Requirements Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Experience with monthly financial close and reporting (both internal and external) Experience with coordination of external audits Ability to interpret and analyze financial statements Knowledgeable with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles Experience with budgeting process, forecasting and planning Experience with payroll processing, tax reporting, wage and hour laws, and related software applications 401k plan experience (administration, audits, ERISA rules, etc.) Healthcare-related experience with reimbursement, billing, cost reports, etc. preferred Accounts Payable processing and 1099 reporting experience Knowledge of bond financing, reporting and compliance Advanced proficiency with MS Word and Excel Demonstrated success in providing leadership and supervision of staff and projects Effective written and oral communication skills Ability to meet deadlines and make timely decisions Effective in problem solving, and attention for details Ability to communicate technical information to nontechnical audiences Able to handle sensitive and confidential information Able to work effectively with all levels of management, staff and employees Education & Experience Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Accounting CPA license preferred Minimum 5 years work related experience Previous public accounting experience is highly valued
