Full Job Description About Us:
Dry Point Restoration provides comprehensive water damage restoration services. We specialize in mitigating the effects of water damage, ensuring homeowners' property is restored to its pre-loss condition. We prioritize people in everything we do to support our customers and employees. We are a family-owned business and growing rapidly. We're looking for a motivated Claims Specialist to join our team and help manage the insurance claims process.
Position Overview:
The Claims Specialist serves as the primary liaison between our company, property owners, and insurance carriers. This role is responsible for submitting accurate documentation for property damage losses to insurance companies, managing claim-related communications with insurance contacts and property owners, negotiating claim amounts, and ensuring timely payment for services rendered (similar to medical billing) while maintaining compliance with carrier requirements and industry standards. The ideal candidate has experience in water mitigation, insurance claims, Xactimate estimating, customer service, and project coordination. Work Location:
In person, Mesa, AZ Key Responsibilities Insurance Claim Management Review insurance policies and claim information related to water, mold, fire, and storm losses. Communicate directly with adjusters, third-party administrators (TPAs), and insurance carriers. Assist property owners with claim-related questions and documentation requirements. Track claim status from first notice of loss through final settlement. Monitor claim deadlines and carrier requests to ensure timely responses. Submit supplements and negotiate claim scope discrepancies when necessary. Customer Communication Provide claim status updates and explain coverage-related information. Maintain positive relationships with homeowners, property managers, and insurance company contacts Address concerns and resolve claim-related issues professionally. Project Coordination Coordinate with client, technicians, billing, and management teams. Ensure project files remain organized and up-to-date. Billing & Collections Coordinate insurance payments and customer responsibility balances. Track accounts receivable related to insurance claims. Assist with collections and payment follow-up when necessary. Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years of insurance claims, restoration, or construction administration experience. Strong understanding of water mitigation and property damage restoration processes. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Strong organizational and time-management abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to read and understand insurance estimates and scopes of work. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Xactimate Experience with Xcelerate, Encircle, or similar restoration software Experience with QuickBooks IICRC Water Restoration Technician (WRT) certification. Previous experience working for a restoration contractor, insurance carrier, or independent adjusting firm. Knowledge of mitigation, contents, mold remediation, and rebuild operations.
