Monday•Friday | 8:00am•4:30pm
Job Summary:
Reports to the Worker's Compensation Attorney, the Claims Adjuster is responsible for all processes related to Workers' Compensation claims.
Minimum Education:
High School Diploma or GED. Licensure, Registration and/or
Certification:
State of Oklahoma Insurance Department Res Co Staff Adjuster•Worker Comp License.
Work Experience:
3•4 years related experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Ability to type 55 wpm minimum, utilize Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn additional software applications. Ability to multi-task and utilize and perform constant decision-making skills.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Receives, reviews, investigates and establishes incident reports, events, claims and reserves in a timely and accurate manner, including OSHA Log tracking. Receives, reviews, pays and enters all WC expenses, billing and medical treatments. Reviews and adjusts reserves in an efficient and accurate manner, closing files timely. Receives, reviews and prepares all legal pleadings and correspondence. Enters file activity and communications in a timely manner. Maintains filing and reporting requirements. Maintains regulatory OSHA Logs and reporting for SFHS.
Decision Making:
Independent judgment in making decisions involving non-routine problems under general supervision.
Working Relationships:
Works directly with patients and/or customers. Works with internal customers via telephone or face to face interaction. Works with external customers via telephone or face to face interaction. Works with other healthcare professionals and staff. Works frequently with individuals at Director level or above.
