Job Description

Home Health Reimbursement Specialist Job Summary:
The Home Health Reimbursement Specialist is responsible for monitoring claim status, researching claim rejections and denials, documenting account activities, and managing collections for assigned payers. Key Responsibilities Accurately perform mathematical computations and audit data to identify errors. Review and resolve claim rejections, denials, and returned claims. Conduct all necessary follow-up activities to ensure timely collection of payments from insurance providers. Maintain clear, accurate, and detailed documentation of account statuses and related activities. Manage assigned payer accounts and support reimbursement processes. Required Skills & Experience Minimum of one (1) year of current relevant experience. Ability to work effectively in a team environment while independently managing assigned responsibilities. Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills. Knowledge of medical terminology. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, database applications, and medical billing software. Ability to type at least 30 words per minute (WPM). Preferred Skills & Experience One (1) year of home health billing experience. Experience with collections involving Medicaid, Managed Care/Insurance, and Private Payers. Experience using WellSky (Kinnser).
Education :
High School Diploma or GED. Preferred Associate's Degree.

$25.00 per hour
