Job Description

Are you looking for a challenging position with supportive co-workers who value the patient and an organization that values your contributions? Indiana Spine Group is looking to add a Reimbursement Analyst in our Carmel headquarters. Team work is emphasized as well as each employee's responsibility for individual work load.
ROLE OVERVIEW
: The primary function of this role is to increase the cash flow to the practice by performing timely follow up on unpaid insurance claims, researching and resolving denials and payer recoupments, analyzing and reporting trends in denials, and working claim edits in the practice management system and claim scrubber.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School graduate or GED equivalent 2 or more years of experience in healthcare A/R follow up Knowledge of basic coding, medical terminology and filing of insurance claims required
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
The following list describes the essential duties of this role. Individuals in this role may not perform all of these duties, or may perform additional or unrelated duties Review, analyze, and appeal insurance denials Follow up on unpaid claims Understand payer billing guidelines Complete workflow queues Contact payers for claim status Denial trend tracking and communication with management and team Properly document denials and submit appeals to insurance companies Process requests for information from pAccurately document all assigned accounts and record notes in the billing system Accurately document all assigned accounts and record notes in the billing system Work claim edits in the claim scrubber and edit failures in billing system Meets department production standards consistently as defined by the department management Perform all duties respectful of confidentiality and safety of all patients, employees, and providers Requires working knowledge of HIPAA Privacy Rules compliance
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
: Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment Gets along well with others and can work with peers in a team situation
