Job Description

Personal Property Claims Adjuster (Public Adjusting) About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and client-focused Personal Property Claims Adjuster to join our growing public adjusting team. In this role, you will work directly with policyholders to document, evaluate, and negotiate personal property losses resulting from fire, water, storm, theft, and other covered events. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, experience preparing detailed inventories, and a passion for helping clients maximize their insurance recovery. Key Responsibilities Conduct on-site inspections of residential and commercial losses. Prepare detailed personal property inventories and valuations. Research replacement costs and determine actual cash value (ACV) and replacement cost value (RCV). Gather documentation including receipts, photographs, appraisals, and supporting evidence. Review insurance policies to identify applicable personal property coverage. Prepare and submit contents claims to insurance carriers. Negotiate settlements with insurance company adjusters. Maintain accurate claim files and provide regular updates to clients. Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the claims process. Qualifications Experience in insurance claims, public adjusting, contents restoration, inventory services, or a related field preferred. Knowledge of homeowners and commercial property insurance policies is a plus. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and claims management software. Experience with XactContents, Xactimate, or similar estimating platforms is preferred. Ability to manage multiple claims simultaneously. Public Adjuster license is preferred or willingness to obtain one where required. What We Offer Competitive salary plus performance bonuses.
