Job Description :
About the Role We are seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation Claims Handler to serve as the primary claims contact at the plant. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service, handling claims efficiently and accurately, and helping manage overall loss costs. This position requires strong technical Workers' Compensation claims experience, particularly with lost time claims , as well as the ability to manage a full caseload of complex claims from investigation through resolution. Key Responsibilities Analyze and process complex or technically difficult Workers' Compensation claims Investigate claims and gather information to determine claim exposure Manage a full caseload, including higher severity claims Handle lost time Workers' Compensation claims from start to finish Develop and execute action plans to ensure timely and cost-effective claim resolution Set, calculate, and maintain appropriate claim reserves Calculate and issue benefit payments, claim adjustments, and settlements within authority limits Prepare and submit required state filings within statutory deadlines Coordinate vendor referrals for additional investigation and litigation management Apply cost containment strategies and leverage vendor partnerships to control claim costs Manage claim recoveries, including: Subrogation Second Injury Fund excess recoveries Social Security and Medicare offsets Report claims to the excess carrier as needed Communicate claim activity and updates with claimants and plant/client stakeholders Maintain accurate claim documentation and coding Escalate or refer claims to leadership when appropriate Qualifications Required 3-5 years of Workers' Compensation claims handling experience Experience handling Workers' Compensation lost time claims Strong knowledge of claims investigation, reserving, payments, and state filing requirements Ability to manage a full caseload independently High School Diploma or GED Preferred Bachelor's Degree Experience handling more complex or high-severity claims Strong customer service and communication skills in a plant-based environment Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a skilled Workers' Compensation claims professional who can balance technical claims handling with strong service and communication. They are organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working fully onsite in a plant environment while managing claims efficiently and compliantly. Why Join Us?
