GAP Claim Specialist

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a GAP Claim Specialist, you are responsible for working directly with contract holders, lenders and insurance carriers to determine contract coverage, collect documents, and process total loss claims.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Communicate with customers involving coverage and inquiries regarding total loss contracts, eligibility, and timelines. Work with outside lenders and insurance carriers to collect and review customer claim documents and provide notification and claim updates. Determine and authorize total loss payments per GAP guidelines. Maintain system processes and provide monthly updates on claim status to customers.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES

Work well in a team with the ability to multitask in a fast paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation and analytical skills. Experience with Microsoft Office products (specifically Outlook, Word and Excel).

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Experience in the following fields desired: insurance claim processing, customer service representative or previous work with a service contract administration company. Automotive dealership background preferred. Bilingual - fluent in both English and Spanish a plus! Please note - this position does not allow for remote work.
