The General Claims department is seeking a PL Claims Specialist (II/ Sr.) The PL Claims Specialist will appropriately manage and resolve bodily injury claims across multiple states, and if necessary, through the litigation process. This includes contacting insureds, claimants, attorneys, witnesses and other carriers, and investigating, negotiating, and settling claims based on company guidelines and applicable law, as well as securing and maintaining required licenses.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Regular and predictable onsite attendance is an essential function of the job. Initiate appropriate action to conclude all clams in a manner consistent with existing law, licensure and company guidelines Conduct ongoing review independently and with supervisor of all assigned files focusing on adequacy of reserves and required investigation Communicate effectively with trial counsel and prepare required reports necessary for evaluation and conclusion of litigated claims Investigate, review, analyze, and evaluate assigned bodily injury claims expeditiously, and if necessary, through the litigation process, in preparation for prompt resolution.
Required Qualifications:
Knowledge, skills & abilities, experience, minimum & desired education, certification and/or license requirements. A minimum of 1 year of prior bodily injury claims experience is required. Strong multi-tasking, problem-solving and decision-making skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to juggle multiple priorities and manage time effectively. The ability to think critically, use resources and seek answers. High school diploma or

Connecticut License Salary:
This position can be filled at the II or Senior level depending on experience and expertise.
Level II:
$67,542.80•$85,174
Senior Level:
$84,609.85•$98,261
Compensation:
Salary is commensurate with experience and credentials.
Pay Range:
$67,543•85,174 Eligible full-time employees receive a competitive Total Rewards package, including but not limited to a 401(k) with employer match up to 8% and additional service-based contributions, Health, Dental, and Vision insurance, Life and Disability coverage, generous PTO, Paid Sick Leave, and paid parental leave in addition to state-mandated leave. Employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
