We have 90+ years of experience operating in multi-faceted transportation modes and are a growing organization. We are looking for a dynamic, career-minded individual to support our company as a Safety Claims Associate. This position is full-time, on-site in our Valley View, Ohio office. In this role and as part of our Claims Team in our Safety Department, you will work closely with our owner operators, terminal network, internal departments, insurance partners, and legal representatives to investigate incidents, resolve claims, and complete all required documentation and regulatory reporting. This position requires strong organizational skills, sound judgment, the ability to be unflappable under pressure, and the aptitude to manage multiple priorities while contributing to our company's overall commitment to safety, compliance, and exceptional customer service. Responsibilities of the
Position:
Processing liability, cargo, and property damage claims from start to finish Coordinating with TPAs, adjusters, attorneys, law enforcement, and claimants to resolve claims efficiently Gathering and maintaining claim documentation, including police reports, photos, dash cam footage, and supporting evidence Managing accident intake by coordinating with the company's accident hotline and third-party administrators Participating in a shared after-hours on-call rotation to respond to accident and claims-related matters Maintaining DOT accident files and facilitate FMCSA DataQs Partnering with other departments on claim investigations and resolution as needed Administering claims within the company's insurance programs Monitoring claim activity, identifying trends, and supporting company-wide risk reduction initiatives
Qualifications & Interpersonal Skills:
Trucking, transportation, and/or DOT experience strongly preferred but not required Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills Ability to work in a collaborative, team environment where you will interact with a variety of people, including owner operators, terminals, co-workers, and internal departments Strong communication skills with the ability to recognize and appropriately respond to tone in phone and email correspondence Customer service-oriented Proficient use of Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, and Outlook Aptitude for quickly learning and navigating a variety of computer programs, apps, and websites Bilingual English / Spanish a plus
Work Schedule & Benefits:

Position:
Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Must have the ability to stand, walk, and sit; talk and hear, both in person and by telephone; and reach with hands and arms to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds.
