  • Anaheim, CA Our client, a growing insurance carrier, is seeking a Claims Examiner to join their team in Anaheim, CA.
This role is responsible for managing property and casualty claims from first notice of loss through resolution, including property damage, casualty, liability, and workers' compensation exposures. The Claims Examiner will collaborate with third-party administrators, adjusters, vendors, and technical experts to investigate claims, evaluate coverage, determine liability, and negotiate settlements. This position is ideal for an insurance professional with experience handling property and casualty claims who enjoys analytical problem-solving, claim investigations, and working with multiple stakeholders to achieve timely and accurate claim resolution.
Responsibilities:
Manage property and casualty claims involving structural damage, auto liability, general liability, and workers' compensation losses from initial reporting through final resolution. Review policy coverage, evaluate damages, determine liability, and establish appropriate reserves and settlement values. Coordinate and oversee third-party administrators (TPAs), field adjusters, consultants, vendors, accountants, engineers, architects, and other specialists involved in the claims process. Investigate claim facts, gather supporting documentation, and analyze loss information to ensure accurate claim determinations. Negotiate settlements and facilitate claim resolution in accordance with company guidelines and regulatory requirements. Maintain accurate claim documentation, reports, and file activity within claims management systems. Provide responsive service and communication to policyholders, brokers, vendors, and business partners throughout the claims process. Monitor claim progress and ensure timely handling of open claims to achieve favorable outcomes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent insurance industry experience. 2+ years of experience managing property and casualty claims. Experience evaluating coverage, determining liability, and negotiating claim settlements. Experience handling claims involving property damage, casualty, liability, or workers' compensation exposures. Proficiency with Xactimate. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace applications. Ability to collaborate effectively with adjusters, TPAs, consultants, vendors, and technical specialists.
Compensation:
Base salary in the 60k
  • 90k/year range.
Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance covered 100% by the company for employees and 50% for dependents. 13 paid holidays and paid time off. 401k with 4% company match and immediate vesting. Hybrid work schedule available after 90 days. #INDALL
