Position Summary:
The Investigation Support Personnel (ISP) provides project management, case coordination, and administrative support for TNG's Investigations Practice Group (IPG), helping ensure the timely, thorough, and impartial delivery of investigation services to clients. The ISP supports matters involving discrimination, harassment, and other misconduct arising under civil rights laws and institutional policies, including but not limited to Title IX, Title VII, Title VI, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. Working closely with investigators, clients, and other stakeholders, the ISP manages case logistics, tracks timelines, coordinates communications and documentation, and supports key processes throughout the investigation and hearing cycle. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, client service-focused, and able to manage sensitive information with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment.
Responsibilities:
Provide case coordination, project management, and administrative support for assigned investigation matters. Coordinate timelines and key deliverables for assigned matters in accordance with client policies, TNG standards, and case-specific expectations established by investigation leadership. Support investigators in managing multiple concurrent matters by organizing logistics, tracking progress, and helping maintain timely movement of cases through the investigation process. Schedule interviews, meetings, and other case-related proceedings with clients, parties, witnesses, investigators, and other participants as needed. Coordinate interview transcription and other case-support services and attend interviews to provide notetaking or logistical support when needed. Prepare and maintain case files, report templates, evidence logs, notices, and other documentation consistent with TNG templates, case needs, and investigator direction. Provide process-related communications and regular status updates to clients, parties, and other stakeholders, and elevate substantive questions or concerns to the appropriate investigator or supervisor. Provide case management support from intake through completion, including assistance with notice letters, document organization, evidence tracking, and transition to hearing or decision-maker processes where applicable. Maintain accurate, detailed, secure, and confidential case records to support compliance reporting, internal quality control, case audits, and long-term data integrity. Serve as hearing facilitator for clients and/or TNG hearing officers by coordinating logistics, materials, scheduling, and participant communications. Work collaboratively within the IPG team and with other TNG personnel to support consistent, responsive, and high-quality client service across matters. Perform other duties as assigned in support of TNG's investigations function and client service model. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Skills & Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree. 3+ years of project management, case coordination, administrative operations, or client service experience. Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent matters or projects while maintaining accuracy, responsiveness, and attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate professionally with clients, parties, and internal stakeholders. Strong relationship-building, organization, and time management skills. Strong client service orientation with the capacity to build and sustain collaborative client relationships. Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and manage sensitive matters with professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality. Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Culturally competent and committed to principles of equity, inclusion, and trauma-informed practice. Comfortable with ambiguity and able to adapt quickly to new information, shifting priorities, or changing circumstances. Experience maintaining accurate, detailed, and confidential records, files, or case-related documentation. Proficiency in a variety of digital tools, including Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, secure file-sharing platforms, case management systems, professional messaging platforms (e.g., Slack), and virtual meeting technologies (e.g., Zoom, Teams).
Preferred:
Experience supporting investigations, case management, civil rights/compliance processes, employee relations matters, student conduct matters, or similar work in an educational, corporate, governmental, or law enforcement setting. Knowledge of Title IX and broader civil rights investigation frameworks, regulations, and processes in educational settings. Experience coordinating hearings, interviews, or other sensitive administrative processes involving multiple stakeholders. Work Environment This is a fully remote position. This position is primarily spent in a professional home office setting, using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, etc. This position is required to work occasional nights and weekends to meet company demands. The role requires consistent access to a secure, high-speed internet connection and the ability to use virtual collaboration tools (e.g., Zoom, Slack, Microsoft Teams, cloud-based file sharing, and case management platforms) to communicate and coordinate with colleagues and clients across multiple US time zones. Standard duties involve extended periods of computer use and virtual meetings, with frequent document review, file management, and client interaction via video or phone. While travel is not typically required for this position, team members may be invited to attend regional training events or national conferences on a voluntary basis. In exceedingly rare circumstances, a client may require onsite work, which could necessitate limited travel. The role may occasionally require work during evenings or weekends to meet client deadlines or accommodate time-sensitive matters. The position demands a high level of focus, discretion, and self-motivation, as well as comfort working both independently and as part of a virtual team. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee will spend a significant amount of time sitting at a desk, working on computers. Prolonged use of a computer and keyboard is expected. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds.
