Job Description

Summary The Manager Corp Insurance/WC is responsible for the company's domestic and international corporate insurance program which includes liability, property, finpro, workers compensation and other policies relevant to the needs of the business. Manage company's self-insured workers compensation program across multiple states. Manage construction and commercial bonding program. Primary Duties Manage insurance policies by gathering information and preparing applications for submittal, understanding coverages, limits, deductibles, and cost of policies. Communicate with management, subsidiaries, and field sites on coverages, and handle the process of reporting and managing claims. Review insurance and risk-transfer requirements in customer and vendor contracts and collaborate with Legal on coverage alignment, exceptions, and risk allocation Act as primary relationship manager with company's insurance broker Oversee workers compensation claims management. Work with safety managers, plant management, subsidiaries, claims administrators, nurse case managers and WC attorneys, to control exposure and minimize claim cost. Review, strategize and approve workers comp claims settlements Manage construction and commercial bonding program, interfacing with bonding broker personnel Job includes work direction and training responsibility for insurance administrator and provides functional oversight, training, and work direction to insurance administration personnel and other support resources, as assigned Working Relationships This position reports directly to the VP, Legal & Compliance. The position has one direct report Compensation The initial annual compensation will be $130,000.
Job Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in business administration or equivalent from an accredited college or university recognized by the United States Department of Education or equivalent. Relevant work experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.
Years of Experience:
Five years of experience in risk management and workers' compensation claims management, including multi-state programs and claim settlement strategy Experience and working knowledge of insurance coverages that would be commonly secured by companies with 5000+ employees. (i.e. liability, excess liability, property, Workers' Compensation, auto, cyber, professional, pollution, foreign, marine, unmanned aircraft, stock throughput, builder's all risk/installation floater, specialty, fiduciary, employers liability, international coverages, D&O.
Preferred Experience:
Experience with international insurance placements and cross-border programs.

Strong organizational skills and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously Familiar with industrial services, construction, manufacturing, energy, or similarly risk-intensive operating environments Able to interpret and edit contract language related to insurance coverages in light of company's insurance programs and risk tolerances Able to work within preset deadlines and establish work priorities involving multiple tasks Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers Able to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, government regulations, insurance policies Able to make judgments and decisions to interpret policies, as needed Able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Normal business hours are 8:00a.m. to 5:00p.m. Monday through Friday. A hybrid work schedule is acceptable, though regular presence in the office will be necessary. Travel may be required to meet client or project requirements. Extended hours may be required during travel or due to variable workload and project specific requirements. Fit for Duty All employees will participate in the Fitness for Duty Program. This program includes a post-offer physical examination and drug screening and post-employment random drug screening. There are extensive smoking restrictions in and around the facility. Additionally, employees are required to adhere to all safety warnings and posted safety signs whenever on company property. Furthermore, employees must follow all NAES safety rules and procedures. Effectiveness in carrying out this responsibility is part of the evaluation of each employee's performance.
