As a Bilingual Dental Insurance Coordinator , you play a critical role in helping patients navigate one of the most confusing parts of healthcare—insurance. You will ensure that patients clearly understand their benefits, what their insurance will cover, and what they can expect financially before treatment begins. You are a key part of creating a smooth, transparent, and trustworthy experience for every patient. At Cornerstone Family Dentistry, this role is more than just insurance—it's about building relationships, creating clarity, and serving patients with excellence and empathy. Who You Are The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, organized, and proactive. You enjoy solving problems, communicating clearly, and helping people understand complex information. You take ownership of your work and find satisfaction in accuracy, follow-through, and serving others well. Main Responsibilities Verify and update dental insurance benefits for all patients Clearly explain insurance coverage, estimates, and patient financial responsibility Ensure patients understand expected out-of-pocket costs prior to treatment Submit insurance claims accurately and in a timely manner Follow up on outstanding claims and resolve insurance discrepancies Act as a liaison between the dental office and insurance companies Organize and attach supporting documentation (radiographs, narratives, etc.) for claims Maintain accurate and up-to-date insurance information in patient records Assist patients with billing questions and account balances Work closely with the clinical and front office team to ensure accurate treatment estimates Help identify and resolve insurance-related issues before they impact the patient experience Minimum Education, Experience, and Qualifications Fluent in Spanish and English (required) Authorized to work in the United States 1+ years of experience in a dental or medical office (required) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex topics simply Experience with dental or medical insurance processes (claims, verification, billing) required What Success Looks Like Patients feel clear, confident, and informed about their insurance and financial responsibilities Insurance claims are submitted accurately and promptly with minimal errors Outstanding claims and balances are actively managed and resolved The team can rely on you to own and improve insurance processes Job Type Full-time Benefits 401(k) Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Schedule 8-hour shift Day shift Experience Dental or medical office: 2 years (Required) Language Requirement Spanish (Required) Work Location In person
