The Claim Adjuster will work remotely in the Nashville area. Essential Functions Pursuant to Company business strategies and good faith claims practices: Investigates assigned claims of various levels of complexity Negotiates assigned claims of various levels of complexity Settles (within authorized limits) assigned claims of various levels of complexity Establishes and maintains positive relationships with both internal and external customers providing excellent customer service Job Requirements, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 2 years of college and 2 years of claims handling experience, or 4 years of claims handling experience with property adjusting experience Must possess strong communication and organization skills and ability to work with a personal computer Demonstrated ability to interact with people in a professional manner, determine coverage, investigate, determine liability and settle insurance claims Must be available to work during disaster situations (including nights and/or weekends), if required Basic Knowledge of Property and Casualty Insurance is desired Compensation Commensurate with experience Performance-based incentives Benefits Package 401(k) company match up to 6% eligible upon hire Medical, dental & vision, including company paid Life insurance and long-term disability Health care flexible spending accounts Paid time off Parental & family leave; military leave & pay Employee Referral Incentive Career Development & Continuing Education Assistance Physical Conditions/Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
