Full Job Description Casualty Claim Specialist Position Overview:
PRIORIS Claims Management Solutions is seeking highly motivated Personal Auto Claims Casualty Specialists. In this role, you will handle various levels of complexity bodily injury claims with technical precision and a strong commitment to exemplary customer service. You will lead the claims process by conducting timely investigations, analyzing accident details and medical documentation, negotiating settlements with customers and attorneys, and leveraging available resources to resolve claims efficiently. The ideal candidate demonstrates adaptability, a willingness to learn, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Work Schedule:
This position requires an in-office presence Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Applicants should be able and willing to adhere to this schedule consistently.
Key Qualifications:
Minimum of five years of successful personal bodily injury claims handling experience. Strong investigative, analytical, and negotiation skills to achieve fair and efficient resolutions. Under moderate supervision, work within specific limits of authority to resolve claims. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Excellent customer service and professional communication skills, both oral and written. Proven ability to follow and comply with Department of Insurance guidelines and requirements. Outstanding time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a high-volume, metric-driven environment. Willingness to engage directly with various individuals including insureds and claimants via the phone and email. Current and valid Michigan or Texas Adjuster license (All-Lines or Property and Casualty) required.
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver exceptional customer service while guiding customers through the claims process. Collaborate with the Auto Liability team to verify coverage and policy provisions before authorizing payments. Identify potential fraud indicators and escalate cases when necessary. Utilize claims tools to evaluate liability and damages with precision. Negotiate within settlement authority with insureds and claimants to resolve their first and third-party claims. Authorize payments within your authority or escalate higher-value claims for approval. Actively participate in weekly and monthly claim assemblies. Communicate findings to management for high-exposure or complex claims. Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal guidelines. Handle administrative functions, update database production reports, and document and update claim files. Respond quickly to customer needs and concerns.
Equipment Operation:
Operate standard office equipment, including computers, copiers, telephones, and printers.
Physical Requirements:
Typical office environment, involving walking, standing, and prolonged sitting at a computer.
