SBH is seeking a qualified individual to serve as a Reimbursement Specialist. The incumbent in this non-exempt position will be responsible assisting Reimbursement Manager with duties related to the organization's EHR platform, billing systems and related-information technologies by helping implement smooth billing workflows, timely resolutions of technical issues, and updating of the billing and payer matrices. The incumbent will also assist with processing of claims and payments, including working with insurance payers to resolve nonpayment issues and assisting with the Debt Set Off process. Responsibilities Provide day to day assistance to staff using the EHR, including troubleshooting, workflow guidance and issue escalation. Assist with User permissions for external sites for staff. Assist with updates to billing and payer matrices in the EHR. Document, prioritize, and resolve system issues with the Reimbursement Manager. Claims processing
- review, submit and track claims across multiple payers, working with providers to ensure claims are accurate at submission. Denial management
- investigate denials, file appeals and resolve discrepancies. Payment posting
- accurately post reports, review aging report to ensure all claims are being reviewed when lagging past 90 days.
. Assist Reimbursement Manager with Debt Set Off processes each month. Qualifications Associates Degree in Business required. Bachelor's Degree in Business preferred. Two or more years of reimbursement and billing experience. One to three years supporting EHR and billing software. Strong knowledge of insurance payers, EOBs and ERA workflows. Familiar with CPT, ICD10, HCPCS and payer rules. Accurately enter data into EHR and effective use of EHR tools. Must meet all criminal background and drug screening requirements.
