The claims analyst will mitigate and manage claims expenses to Oak Harbor and work to ensure customers satisfaction when customer shipments are damaged or lost.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Receive, investigate, and process cargo claims per OAKH Policy and Federal Statute Maintain accurate claims files.
Print / Scan
claims from the "Claims Email Inbox". Assist and educate Internal / External Customers regarding claims processes. Answer status calls regarding claims and provide customer support during the claims process to ensure positive experience for our customers. Assist with Salvage/OSD requests.
Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:
Must have either Transportation (Freight) and/or Claims Investigation experience. Basic knowledge of NMFC rules and regulations in an LTL environment preferred. 1+ year experience in claims in an LTL environment preferred. Excellent communication skills. Ability to think critically. Ability to work successfully with internal / customers to resolve issues/claims. Strong PC proficiency and experience using MS Office products. AS400 experience preferred but not required. H.S. diploma or GED/equivalent required.
