This role is responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy, regulatory compliance, audit readiness, and adherence to all California cannabis regulations. The ideal candidate has extensive METRC experience, strong inventory control knowledge, and the ability to support store teams through training, auditing, and operational oversight. Key Responsibilities Oversee compliance operations for multiple retail cannabis locations within an assigned area. Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly compliance audits to ensure inventory and operational accuracy. Review and finalize cycle counts, inventory reconciliations, transfers, adjustments, and waste records. Monitor METRC activity and ensure all inventory movements and transactions are completed accurately and on time. Ensure all locations remain compliant with California DCC regulations and company SOPs. Identify compliance risks and implement corrective action plans. Conduct regular store visits to evaluate inventory procedures, security protocols, and compliance standards. Lead weekly compliance and inventory meetings with store leadership teams. Assist stores in preparing for DCC inspections and audits while maintaining continuous audit readiness. Investigate inventory discrepancies, variances, and compliance concerns. Train and support store management teams on METRC, inventory management, and regulatory requirements. Maintain organized compliance documentation and records for all assigned locations. Partner with Operations, Inventory, and Store Management teams to improve compliance performance and operational efficiency. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of cannabis industry experience. Minimum 1-2 years of hands-on METRC experience required. Strong understanding of California DCC regulations and cannabis retail compliance. Experience conducting inventory audits, cycle counts, and reconciliations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and cannabis POS systems. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Ability to travel regularly between assigned locations. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Preferred Qualifications Multi-store cannabis retail experience. Previous experience in compliance, inventory management, operations, or store leadership. Experience supporting DCC inspections, audits, and corrective action plans. Familiarity with Meadow, Dutchie, Treez, or other cannabis retail platforms. Compensation & Benefits Mileage reimbursement for business travel.
