Job Description

Salary range $22.00 - $26.00 per hour, depending on experience Education & Experience High school diploma or GED (required) Associate's or bachelor's degree in: Business administration Transportation management (preferred, not always required) 1-3+ years of experience in: Transportation compliance Fleet management or trucking operations Knowledge & Certifications Strong knowledge of
DOT/ FMCSA
regulations, including: Hours of Service (HOS) Driver Qualification (DQ) files Drug & Alcohol testing programs Vehicle inspection and maintenance requirements Familiarity with: FMCSA systems (e.g., Clearinghouse, PSP reports) Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs) Certifications (optional but valuable): DOT Compliance Certification Safety or transportation compliance training Key Responsibilities Typical duties include: Maintaining driver qualification files (DQ files) Ensuring compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations Managing drug & alcohol testing programs Monitoring driver logs / HOS compliance Coordinating vehicle records, inspections, and maintenance logs Preparing for and assisting with DOT audits and inspections Keeping up with regulatory changes and implementing updates Training drivers on compliance procedures when needed Skills Required Strong attention to detail (critical for compliance work) Organizational and recordkeeping skills Knowledge of transportation software / ELD systems Problem-solving and critical thinking Strong communication skills (dealing with drivers, management, auditors) Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook)
