Description The Online Safety Legal Team is a team of dedicated professionals within Apple's legal department who advise the business on online safety related harms, work to respond rapidly to customer reports of harmful content, liaise with law enforcement on imminent threats, review and report child sexual exploitation material "CSEM" to relevant law enforcement agencies, and partner with Apple's Trust & Safety team to create and implement safety policies. Responsibilities Collaborate with the Trust & Safety Team to implement online safety policies Review customer reports of harmful content on Apple's platform including CSEM reports Provide legal guidance regarding online safety regulations and reporting requirements Liaise with global law enforcement on imminent harm cases Develop internal documents for content moderation training, workflows, and processes Respond quickly to time sensitive customer reports that may arise outside of standard work hours Minimum Qualifications 5-7 years of legal experience focused on online safety issues Familiarity with global online safety regulations, CSEM legal reporting requirements, and privacy laws JD or equivalent and admission to at least one US state bar Preferred Qualifications Clear and concise communication skills Ability to forge trusting relationships and work globally as a member of a cross functional, geographically diverse team Willingness and ability to travel as needed Ability to remain calm under pressure and meet time sensitive deadlines Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $200,700 and $301,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary bonuses or commission payments as well as relocation.
