Job Description

Compliance Director Position Summary The Compliance Officer ensures that all organizational and community operations comply with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and enforcing internal policies; overseeing employee training; and managing compliance related to Human Resources (HR), the Architectural Review Committee (ARC), and overall community standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain a high standard of office protocol, confidentiality and the highest level of discretion.
  • Oversee and maintain internal HR policies, including payroll administration for the corporation
  • Organize, develop, and update internal policies as needed to ensure compliance and operational efficiency
  • Ensure community compliance through implementation and enforcement of all governing regulations, including Architectural Review Committee (ARC) standards General community compliance Fire Mitigation requirements Job Requirements
  • Strong working knowledge of HR compliance, including all applicable California regulations
  • Strong knowledge of all California HOA guidelines as instructed by Davis Sterling
  • Welcoming, professional, and courteous demeanor when interacting with community members and staff
  • Proficiency in computer applications and a willingness to learn new software as systems evolve
  • Required strong knowledge with Excel, Outlook, Word and Adobe
  • Strong communication skills, including phone, written, and in-person communication Daily Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
  • Manage all HR compliance responsibilities and oversee payroll functions Process payroll and prepare required reports Mentor employees and address staff relations and performance issues Assist with recruitment and onboarding, then assume responsibility for employee coaching, evaluations, and ongoing development
  • Monitor and ensure community compliance by: Conducting regular community tours to assess potential compliance issues Managing Fire Mitigation compliance requirements Following Compliance procedures to gain compliance from the resident
  • Serve as the ARC Coordinator for day-to-day operations, including: Preparing monthly agendas and recording meeting minutes Approving minor requests and identifying items requiring committee review Collaborating closely with the ARC committee to ensure adherence to established guidelines
  • Respond to daily phone calls and emails with professionalism, addressing inquiries within scope of knowledge and seeking guidance when necessary
Pay:
$22.00 - $25.00 per hour
