Job Description

The Director & Sr. Counsel will lead a variety of compliance matters, partnering with subject matter experts within legal and across departments on a range of topics. This position is ideal for a compliance attorney who will thrive collaborating across global teams and functions to further build Cadence's compliance program together.
Main Responsibilities:
Drive design, implementation, and maintenance of Cadence's global compliance program - collaborating with subject matter experts in legal and across departments. Manage compliance risk assessments, gap analyses, and mitigation plans. Advise on compliance with applicable laws, including tracking and monitoring of evolving laws and enforcement trends with subject matter experts Partner with subject matter experts to develop, deliver, and refresh compliance training. Promote a culture of compliance through policy and process development and maintenance, as well as related communications. Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiencies. Support internal investigations and related processes, as requested. Assist in responses relating to regulatory inquiries or audits, as requested.
Minimum Qualifications:
JD from an ABA accredited law school Active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction 7-10 years of related experience in compliance or risk management matters with a firm or corporate legal department Superior legal analysis skills across subjects Excellent oral and written communication skills, including exceptional attention to detail Sound judgment, flexibility, and ability to work independently while collaborating across business units and multinational stakeholders Team player that wants to pitch in and help with a positive attitude
Preferred Experience:

The annual salary range for California is $176,400 to $327,600. You may also be eligible to receive incentive compensation: bonus, equity, and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the salary range is a guideline and compensation may vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
