Job Description:
Tree Corporation USA is seeking a highly organized, business-oriented, and proactive Compliance & Legal Affairs Manager to join our growing corporate structure in Miami. This position will play a key leadership role within our Service Center, supporting multiple business divisions involved in international logistics, shipping, project cargo, maritime operations, trading, and transportation services across the Americas and other international markets. We are looking for a professional who understands that compliance is not only about control - it is about supporting growth, protecting the company, improving structure, and helping operations move efficiently within a highly regulated environment. This role will supervise and strengthen our current compliance department while coordinating closely with management, finance, operations, HR, and external legal counsel. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise the Compliance Department Develop and improve internal compliance procedures and controls Coordinate with external law firms and advisors Review commercial agreements, vendor contracts, NDAs, and corporate documents Support compliance related to international trade, logistics, maritime operations, and regulated markets Assist with corporate governance and internal policy implementation Build proactive compliance monitoring systems instead of reactive processes Coordinate internal investigations, escalations, and risk assessments when needed Support onboarding compliance for customers, vendors, and partners Assist management with regulatory, contractual, and operational risk analysis Help strengthen corporate structure, reporting visibility, and accountability Promote a practical and business-friendly compliance culture across all companies Requirements Juris Doctor (JD) degree required Licensed attorney in Florida preferred 5+ years of experience in compliance, corporate law, transportation, logistics, maritime, international trade, or related fields Strong understanding of contracts and corporate documentation Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment Strong communication and leadership skills Highly organized with strong follow-up capabilities English required Spanish strongly preferred Preferred Experience Experience in one or more of the following areas is highly valued: Shipping or maritime industry Freight forwarding / logistics FMC, OFAC, BIS, import/export compliance Corporate compliance programs Multi-entity corporate structures International commercial operations What We Are Looking For We are not looking for a purely academic legal profile. We are looking for someone practical, proactive, solution-oriented, and capable of becoming part of a growing corporate leadership structure. The ideal candidate understands how to balance compliance, operational reality, risk management, and business growth. Compensation Competitive salary package based on experience. Location This position is based in Miami, Florida, and in-person presence is expected.
