LIHTC Compliance Manager (Multifamily Housing) Confidential Johns Creek, GA 30097 Full-time Full-time We are seeking an experienced and strategic LIHTC Compliance Manager to lead compliance operations for our growing portfolio of multifamily affordable housing communities. This in-office leadership role is based in our North Atlanta office and is responsible for overseeing and ensuring full regulatory compliance with the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program, HUD, and other affordable housing regulations across multiple properties. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, deep technical expertise, and the ability to drive compliance excellence while mentoring and developing a team. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage LIHTC compliance across the entire multifamily portfolio, ensuring adherence to Section 42 and all applicable federal, state, and local affordable housing regulations Oversee resident file reviews, eligibility determinations, income and asset verifications, recertifications, move-ins, transfers, and unit inspections Conduct regular audits, file reviews, and compliance monitoring for assigned properties; implement corrective action plans as needed Provide strategic guidance, training, and ongoing support to on-site property management teams and regional staff on all compliance matters Develop, implement, and continuously improve compliance policies, procedures, and best practices Prepare for and manage internal and external audits, including responses to investor, state agency, and regulatory reviews Monitor and interpret regulatory changes at the federal, state, and local levels; assess impact on the portfolio and proactively update processes Collaborate with property management leadership, asset management, and ownership to resolve complex compliance issues and mitigate risk Mentor, coach, and develop compliance staff and on-site personnel to build a high-performing, knowledgeable team Maintain accurate compliance records and generate reports for senior leadership and external stakeholders Qualifications 5+ years of progressive LIHTC compliance experience in the multifamily housing industry, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role In-depth expertise in Section 42 regulations, HUD programs, and other affordable housing compliance requirements Proven ability to lead compliance operations, manage multiple properties simultaneously, and drive results in a fast-paced environment Strong experience with income calculations, eligibility determinations, file audits, and corrective action planning Professional certifications such as HCCP, C3P, or equivalent strongly preferred Demonstrated leadership and team development skills with a track record of mentoring and training staff Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities Superior written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with on-site teams, leadership, and external agencies Proficiency with property management and compliance software (e.g., Yardi, RealPage, or similar); advanced Excel skills a plus Ability to work in-office at our North Atlanta location (no remote or hybrid options) What We Offer Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses Comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision) Opportunities for professional growth, leadership development, and ongoing certification support Collaborative, mission-driven work environment with the chance to make a meaningful impact in affordable housing Apply Today If you are a seasoned LIHTC compliance professional with a passion for leadership, regulatory excellence, and affordable housing, we encourage you to apply.
