Learn more about Louisiana Works The Compliance Programs Director will communicate information to recipients, sub-recipients, employees, participants, and the general public regarding their rights and responsibilities related to equal opportunity and compliance within LA Works federally funded programs. The Office of the Secretary (OS ) is responsible for setting the overall vision, mission and long-term goals of the department. OS provides leadership and management of all departmental programs, communicates departmental direction, ensures the quality of services provided, and fosters better relations with all stakeholders, thereby increasing awareness and use of departmental services. The Equal Opportunity and Compliance Division (EOCD) coordinates, implements, and monitors compliance with non-discrimination requirements under WIOA Title I and applicable federal regulations, including oversight of the Non-Discrimination Plan and Impact Plan. Seven years of experience in monitoring compliance with federal nondiscrimination laws and regulations; or in human resources or employment law; OR Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus four years of experience in monitoring compliance with federal nondiscrimination laws and regulations; or in human resources or employment law; OR A bachelor's degree plus four years of experience in monitoring compliance with federal nondiscrimination laws and regulations; or in human resources or employment law. An advanced degree plus three years of experience in monitoring compliance with federal nondiscrimination laws and regulations; or in human resources or employment law.EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field. Directs the development of, and/or develops, monitoring guides and procedures to assess performance levels and evaluate the effectiveness of departmental and contractor compliance. Directs the preparation and maintenance of reports necessary to meet federal and state agency requirements. Receives, develops, coordinates, and implements reasonable accommodation requests; drafts approval and denial notification letters. Performs duties that may include attending meetings both in and out of the office, traveling as required, and communicating effectively both orally and in writing.Position Specific Details:
