Job Description
Overview We are seeking a highly driven and detail-oriented Trucking Manager - Compliance & Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) to lead and oversee our transportation operations. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for ensuring full regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and a strong culture of safety across our logistics network. You will play a critical role in managing fleet operations, enforcing compliance standards, supporting field execution, and maintaining customer satisfaction while driving continuous improvement across the organization. Key ResponsibilitiesCompliance & Safety Develop, implement, and enforce compliance programs aligned with OSHA, FDA, and industry regulations Conduct driver audits, safety meetings, and incident investigations Perform risk assessments and proactively mitigate safety hazards Maintain systems such as ISN, Empower, and Link2Pump Prepare reports for regulatory compliance, audits, and internal review Fleet & Logistics Management Oversee fleet maintenance, driver scheduling, and performance tracking Optimize routes and freight coordination to ensure timely and compliant deliveries Utilize TMS and fleet management tools to improve efficiency Field Operations & Quality Control Perform on-site oversight of drivers, equipment, and job execution Ensure all jobs are completed safely, correctly, and to company standards Maintain strong field-level customer relationships Technology & Monitoring Use Verizon Connect to monitor driver behavior and enforce safety standards Analyze data related to fleet performance, safety incidents, and compliance metrics Inventory & Equipment Oversight Manage and monitor inventory including: Chemicals Hoses & fittings Tires PPE Operational Support Assist dispatch operations and ensure smooth coordination Provide leadership coverage , including oversight of night shift when needed Handle administrative duties such as ticket pricing and documentation Skills & Qualifications Strong knowledge of OSHA safety standards and risk management Experience with logistics, freight management, and supply chain operations Familiarity with FDA transportation regulations (preferred) Proficiency in transportation or fleet management software (TMS) Strong analytical and reporting skills Excellent communication and leadership abilities Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment Core Expectations Be self-motivated, proactive, and solutions-driven Maintain a positive attitude under pressure Demonstrate strong time management and accountability Take initiative—identify and resolve problems quickly Lead by example and hold team members accountable Accountability & Performance Standards This is a leadership role with direct impact on: Company performance Operational efficiency Customer satisfaction Failure to meet expectations resulting in: Financial loss Operational disruption Customer dissatisfaction May result in disciplinary action up to termination.
