(BCRI) is a nationally recognized nonprofit and Baltimore's only comprehensive behavioral health crisis response system. Since 1992, BCRI has provided timely, person-centered services for individuals experiencing mental health and substance use crises. The Opportunity BCRI is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Director of Compliance & Organizational Development to lead organization-wide compliance, quality improvement, and workforce development efforts. This role serves as a key partner to executive leadership, ensuring regulatory compliance, strengthening internal systems, and driving continuous improvement across all programs. The Director will also lead organizational learning initiatives, support accreditation standards, and help position BCRI for sustainable growth and expansion. What You'll Do Compliance & Quality Oversight Lead and manage the organization-wide compliance program, ensuring adherence to regulatory and accreditation standards Oversee compliance with HIPAA privacy and security requirements , including risk assessments, training, and monitoring safeguards Audit and evaluate programs to assess risk, strengthen internal controls, and improve service delivery Ensure development and implementation of performance improvement plans when needed Support contract monitoring, reporting, and deliverables Organizational Development & Training Design and implement learning and development strategies to strengthen programmatic competencies across the organization Collaborate with leadership to identify training needs and build scalable solutions Manage the learning management system and track training effectiveness Develop innovative learning opportunities, including cross-functional initiatives and experiential training Data, Reporting & Performance Management Monitor performance metrics and analyze data to inform decision-making and organizational improvement Ensure timely and accurate reporting to leadership, funders, and regulatory agencies Manage reporting, tracking, and analysis across compliance and development initiatives Leadership & Collaboration Supervise compliance and organizational development staff and provide ongoing coaching and oversight Lead critical incident debriefings and support quality improvement efforts Partner with executive leadership on strategic initiatives and organizational expansion efforts Community Engagement & Advocacy Represent BCRI in community meetings, advocacy efforts, and behavioral health initiatives Strengthen relationships with community stakeholders and partners Conduct trainings and educational sessions for internal staff and the broader community Support outreach efforts and campaigns to increase awareness of behavioral health services Qualifications Qualifications Education Master's degree in Clinical Psychology, Social Work, Public Health, or a related field required Credentials (Preferred) LCSW-C and/or LPC-C Clinical supervisory credential Certification in compliance, organizational development, or learning systems Experience Experience interpreting and implementing Maryland COMAR regulations (required) Experience supporting nonprofit operations (required) Experience in compliance, quality assurance, and/or organizational development (preferred) Skills & Competencies Strong understanding of regulatory compliance, accreditation standards, and quality improvement Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple initiatives and lead system-level change Strong communication and leadership skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with EHR/EMR systems Additional Requirements Valid and unrestricted driver's license required Ability to work across office, residential, and community-based environments Commitment to ethical, person-centered, and evidence-based practices Why Join BCRI Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance (Our benefits package includes 100% employer-paid healthcare premiums for most available medical plans).
