Job Description
SUMMARY:
- The Compliance & Sustainability Manager is responsible for ensuring the organization adheres to all applicable regulatory, customer, and internal compliance requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- include but are not limited to:
- Regulatory & Compliance Management
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations related to manufacturing operations Maintain and support ITAR compliance programs, including documentation, training, and internal audits Assist with compliance related to export controls and customer-specific requirements Monitor regulatory changes and communicate impacts to relevant stakeholders
- Procurement & Customer Compliance
- Complete and manage customer-required compliance documentation, including supplier questionnaires and certifications Partner with procurement, quality, and sales teams to ensure timely and accurate submission of compliance forms Maintain records of compliance documentation and ensure audit readiness Support supplier compliance initiatives and verification processes
- Sustainability & Environmental Initiatives
- Assist in the development and execution of sustainability programs and goals Track, analyze, and report environmental metrics (e.g., energy usage, waste reduction, emissions) Support customer and regulatory sustainability reporting requirements Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in environmental performance
- Auditing & Continuous Improvement
- Participate in internal and external audits related to compliance and sustainability Identify gaps and support corrective action plans Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and work instructions related to compliance Promote a culture of compliance and ethical business practices across the organization
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field preferred 2-5 years of experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, sustainability, or manufacturing environment Experience with ITAR, export controls, or government contracting strongly preferred
- Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and documentation processes Knowledge of sustainability frameworks and environmental reporting is a plus Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with ERP systems a plus •Key Attributes for Success •High integrity and commitment to ethical standards Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities Self-motivated with a proactive approach to compliance and sustainability initiatives
