$120k•$135k+ annually, depending on experience Basic Worker Function The Director of Regulatory Compliance leads Enstrom's regulatory compliance and FAA oversight initiatives to ensure company products, processes, and documentation meet all applicable aviation regulations and certification requirements. This role partners closely with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and executive leadership to support FAA compliance, certification activities, audits, and continuous improvement efforts across the organization. The Director serves as a key liaison between the VP of Quality Assurance and regulatory agencies while helping guide company strategy related to compliance, airworthiness, safety, and regulatory risk management. General Description of Tasks Lead company regulatory compliance activities related to FAA requirements and aviation standards. Monitor and interpret FAA regulatory changes and assess operational impact. Oversee regulatory documentation, certification records, and compliance reporting. Partner with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and leadership teams to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance. Coordinate with FAA representatives, DERs, auditors, and external regulatory partners. Support aircraft certification programs, product changes, repairs, and airworthiness initiatives. Lead internal and external audits, inspections, and compliance reviews. Develop and maintain regulatory procedures, policies, and compliance systems. Identify compliance risks and support corrective and preventive action initiatives. Provide guidance and training to employees regarding regulatory requirements and compliance expectations. Review and approve compliance-related documentation and records. Support strategic initiatives focused on safety, quality, operational improvement, and continuous compliance. Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong knowledge of FAA regulations, certification requirements, and aviation compliance practices. Ability to interpret technical regulations and apply them operationally. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Excellent attention to detail and documentation management abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills. Ability to work collaboratively across departments and influence operational compliance initiatives. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and regulatory documentation systems. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Aviation, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, or a related field required. 7+ years of experience in regulatory compliance, aerospace, aviation, manufacturing, or FAA-related environments preferred. Experience working with FAA certification processes, audits, or regulatory agencies strongly preferred. Leadership or management experience preferred. Aviation manufacturing experience highly preferred. Advanced degree, FAA-related certifications, or DER experience is a plus. Physical Requirements Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments as needed. Ability to read and review detailed technical documents for extended periods. Ability to stand, walk, and inspect production or aircraft areas periodically. Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) when in manufacturing areas. Occasional travel may be required.
