Job Description

At Community First Health Center, we believe that exceptional patient care begins with a culture of safety, accountability, and compliance. We are seeking an experienced and strategic Risk & Compliance Manager to lead organization-wide efforts that protect our patients, staff, and mission. This role is ideal for a proactive leader who thrives on solving complex challenges, strengthening systems, and ensuring regulatory excellence. You will play a key role in advancing patient safety, managing organizational risk, supporting regulatory readiness, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across all areas of the organization. What You'll Do Lead Risk Management & Patient Safety Initiatives Develop and oversee a comprehensive risk management program aligned with HRSA, FTCA, and industry best practices. Conduct organization-wide risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and implement mitigation strategies. Lead investigations of incidents, adverse events, and safety concerns using root cause analysis methodologies. Monitor trends, analyze data, and create reports that support informed decision-making and continuous improvement. Drive proactive risk reduction efforts that strengthen patient safety and operational effectiveness. Champion Compliance & Regulatory Excellence Manage and enhance the organization's compliance program. Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations, including HRSA, FTCA, HIPAA, OSHA, and CMS requirements. Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on evolving regulatory requirements and compliance risks. Coordinate regulatory audits, Operational Site Visits (OSVs), FTCA deeming activities, and compliance reviews. Maintain systems that encourage ethical reporting and timely resolution of compliance concerns. Serve as the Organization's Safety Leader Act as the Safety Officer, promoting a culture of accountability, preparedness, and workplace safety. Oversee emergency preparedness planning, drills, and response readiness activities. Ensure compliance with environmental and workplace safety standards. Lead safety training initiatives and support organizational resilience across all locations. Build a Culture of Learning & Accountability Develop and deliver engaging compliance, risk management, privacy, and safety training programs. Ensure completion of new hire and annual compliance education requirements. Provide guidance and support to leaders and staff on risk, compliance, and safety matters. Support Privacy & HIPAA Compliance Partner with leadership and IT teams to safeguard protected health information (PHI). Assist with privacy investigations, breach response, auditing activities, and corrective action planning. Support patient rights processes and ongoing privacy education initiatives. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, Nursing, Risk Management, Compliance, or a related field. Strong knowledge of healthcare compliance, risk management, patient safety, and regulatory requirements. Experience interpreting and applying federal and state healthcare regulations. Exceptional analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. Preferred Qualifications Experience in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or community health setting. Familiarity with HRSA Operational Site Visits (OSVs) and FTCA deeming processes. Certification in Healthcare Compliance, Risk Management, Patient Safety, or a related field. Experience with incident management systems, quality improvement methodologies, and healthcare data analytics. Technical Skills Successful candidates will demonstrate proficiency with: Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems Microsoft Excel (advanced reporting and data analysis) Microsoft Word (advanced document creation) Microsoft PowerPoint (professional presentations and training materials) Data tracking, dashboard development, and reporting tool
