Full-Time, 12-month assignment Position Summary The full-time Assistant Athletics Director for Compliance & Student Services will support all aspects of athletics and institutional compliance, eligibility, and student services. This position supports student-athlete success on the field, in the classroom, and in the community while upholding NCAA, Great Lakes Valley Conference, and institutional standards. The Assistant Athletics Director for Compliance & Student Services serves as a key liaison between the athletics department and campus and will help cultivate a competitive, values-driven environment aligned with the College's mission, institutional priorities, and the Division II "Life in the Balance" philosophy. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Monitor and ensure adherence to all applicable NCAA, GLVC, and institutional rules and regulations Maintain accurate and detailed records for eligibility, recruiting, financial aid, playing/practice seasons, and amateurism Support and provide consistent rules education for coaches, staff, and student-athletes Monitor academic progress and eligibility of student-athletes Collaborate with coaches, financial aid, admissions, and enrollment on scholarship and eligibility certification Serve as liaison between athletics and academic departments, as well as Student Success, Student Life, and other key campus offices and committees Maintain compliance databases and software systems Assist with waivers, violations reporting, and interpretations Prepare required reports for federal & state government, NCAA, GLVC, and institutional needs Support onboarding and orientation for new student-athletes and coaches Serve as game administrator for assigned sports Promote a positive team culture emphasizing sportsmanship, accountability, and leadership Represent the Athletics Department and institution in a professional manner Comply with all NCAA, GLVC, and institutional policies and procedures Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution 2+ years of experience in NCAA compliance Strong leadership and communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment Knowledge of various compliance and academic systems, such as ARMS/Teamworks, Compliance Assistant, NCAA Apps, Colleague, etc. Ability to work evenings and weekends in assigned sports Have, or be willing to attain, CPR/First Aid Certification Preferred 5+ years of experience in NCAA compliance Master's degree from an accredited institution Previous experience working in a higher education environment
