Job Description

Job Summary:
The 340B Program Director is responsible for the overall administration, compliance, oversight, and strategic management of the organization's 340B Drug Pricing Program. This position ensures compliance with all federal regulations, Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) requirements, and organizational policies while maximizing program benefits to support patient care and organizational sustainability. The Director serves as the primary liaison for all 340B-related activities, including audits, contract pharmacy oversight, split-billing software management, policy development, and staff education.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Program Administration:
Direct and oversee all aspects of the 340B Drug Pricing Program. Ensure compliance with HRSA, OPA, and applicable federal and state regulations. Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive 340B policies and procedures. Monitor program performance and identify opportunities for optimization and growth. Maintain accurate records and documentation required for regulatory compliance.
Compliance and Auditing:
Conduct routine internal audits and monitoring activities. Coordinate and prepare for HRSA audits, manufacturer audits, and independent audits Identify compliance risks and implement corrective action plans. Maintain audit readiness at all times. Ensure proper eligibility determinations and documentation for covered entities and patients
Contract Pharmacy Oversight:
Manage relationships with contract pharmacies and third-party administrators. Review contract pharmacy performance and compliance reports. Monitor inventory management and diversion prevention activities. Ensure compliance with contract pharmacy agreements.
Financial Management:
Analyze 340B program savings and financial performance. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for executive leadership and the Board of Directors. Assist with budget development and financial forecasting related to the 340B Program. Collaborate with finance staff to ensure accurate program accounting and reconciliation.
Leadership and Collaboration:
Serve as the organization's subject matter expert on 340B regulations and requirements. Provide education and training to leadership, providers, pharmacy staff, and other employees. Collaborate with clinical, finance, compliance, and operational departments to support program objectives. Participate in organizational strategic planning initiatives involving pharmacy services and medication access.
Reporting and Data Management:
Monitor split-billing software and related technology systems. Analyze utilization trends and program outcomes. Prepare reports and presentations for executive leadership, compliance committees, and the Board of Directors. Maintain accurate databases and records supporting program operations
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Pharmacy, Public Health, or a related field. Minimum of five (5) years of healthcare management experience. Minimum of three (3) years of direct 340B Program management experience. Thorough knowledge of HRSA and 340B Program regulations Experience with FQHC operations and compliance requirements. Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and 340B management software systems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Working Conditions:
Professional office environment. Occasional travel to clinic sites, pharmacies, and professional meetings. May require additional hours during audit preparation or regulatory review periods.
Performance Expectations:
Maintain 100% audit readiness. Ensure ongoing compliance with all 340B Program requirements. Successfully manage contract pharmacy operations. Provide accurate and timely reporting to executive leadership. Support the organization's mission by maximizing 340B resources to expand patient access and improve healthcare outcomes
Travel Requirements:
Occasional travel to other clinic sites, as necessary for optimum performance of duties and responsibilities.
