Full-Time About Us American Compressed Gases, Inc. and Dry Ice Corp. are leading suppliers of industrial gases, helium, dry ice, and related products throughout the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, and Southeast regions. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Fleet & Compliance Officer to support our growing operations and ensure regulatory compliance across our transportation and logistics network. Position Summary The Fleet & Compliance Officer will be responsible for overseeing vehicle registrations, regulatory filings, driver qualification processes, accident claims management, and various fleet compliance functions. This position plays a critical role in maintaining compliance with DOT, FMCSA, state transportation regulations, and company safety standards. Key Responsibilities Manage and maintain registration records for all company trucks, trailers, and fleet assets. Prepare and file all required HUT (Highway Use Tax) and IFTA (International Fuel Tax Agreement) reports and renewals. Screen and process driver applicants, including: CDL verification Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) reviews PSP and Clearinghouse checks Employment verification and qualification file maintenance Maintain driver qualification files and ensure ongoing compliance with DOT regulations. Investigate and file insurance claims for vehicle accidents and incidents. Coordinate with insurance carriers, adjusters, repair facilities, and management regarding accident claims and resolutions. Monitor fleet maintenance records and compliance schedules. Track vehicle inspections, permits, registrations, and regulatory deadlines. Prepare and submit compliance reports required by federal, state, and local agencies. Assist with safety initiatives, audits, and regulatory inspections. Maintain accurate records and documentation for all fleet and compliance activities. Perform other transportation, fleet, safety, and compliance-related duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience in fleet administration, transportation compliance, logistics, or a related field. Working knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, IFTA, HUT, and commercial vehicle regulations. Experience managing vehicle registrations and fleet records. Experience handling accident claims and working with insurance providers. Familiarity with driver qualification requirements and pre-employment screening processes. Strong organizational and administrative skills. Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Experience in the transportation, industrial gas, or distribution industry is a plus. Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience. Health insurance and benefits package.
