Office of University Procurement and Business Services Associate Director of Public Bidding and Compliance Under the supervision of the Director of Strategic Procurement and Business Operations, the Associate Director of Public Bidding and Compliance (Associate Director 2) is responsible for assisting with the planning and management of activities of the University's purchasing program at all campus locations; develops policies and procedures to establish and maintain legal compliance, financial accountability and physical control; and ensures a customer service centered approach when providing services to University users, outside vendors, agencies and the public. The Associate Director is responsible for bidding oversight, solicitation development, contracts administration and compliance; manages day-to-day work operations, including the performance of technical and/or administrative tasks such as contract preparation, control, monitoring, amendment and evaluation; manages office support functions; and does related work as required. The Associate Director acts on behalf of the Director in their absence and provides direct managerial support for all procurement operations. This position requires travel and a flexible schedule including evening and weekend hours.
Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited college with a Bachelor's degree and three years of professional experience in an institution of higher education or similar environment performing procurement functions or supporting/managing business operations is required. A Master's degree and experience managing bidding processes, contract administration and related compliance is preferred. Candidate must have excellent customer service skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the Kean community and external vendors. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential. Candidacy review begins immediately and continues until appointment is made. In compliance with New Jersey's Pay Transparency Law, the annual salary range for this position is: $100,000 to $110,000.
