This high-impact leadership role is essential in safeguarding patients, supporting providers, and ensuring regulatory excellence across the organization and affiliated clinics. As both the Risk Management Leader and Compliance & Ethics Officer , you will play a critical role in identifying, mitigating, and preventing risk while fostering a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement. Risk Management & Leadership Direct and manage the organization's comprehensive risk management program. Identify, assess, and mitigate clinical, operational, and regulatory risks. Partner with leadership, providers, and staff to proactively address risk exposure. Litigation & Investigation Oversight Manage active and potential litigation, including investigations, interviews, and depositions. Coordinate legal hold processes and documentation in collaboration with legal counsel. Ensure timely and thorough response to claims and incidents. Compliance & Ethics Serve as the facility's Compliance and Ethics Officer , ensuring adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. Lead compliance initiatives and promote ethical standards across the organization. Training & Culture Development Educate leaders, providers, and staff on risk management practices and incident reporting. Build a culture of safety, transparency, and continuous improvement. Develop and deliver training programs that strengthen organizational awareness and accountability. Collaboration & Relationship Building Work cross-functionally with clinical, administrative, and executive teams. Facilitate strong relationships with providers and key stakeholders. Act as a trusted advisor on risk and compliance matters. Required Qualifications Active (or eligible) New Mexico RN license Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) 5+ years of healthcare experience , including 3+ years in a leadership role Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree ( MSN, MBA, or Healthcare Administration ) Experience in acute care risk management Background working in a for-profit hospital setting Experience in ethics and compliance programs Proven ability to collaborate effectively with providers and multidisciplinary teams Why This Role Matters In this role, you won't just manage risk—you'll shape how the organization anticipates challenges, responds to complexity, and protects both patients and staff.
