Our team is committed to delivering efficient, reliable, and compliant import/export services to clients across a wide range of industries.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Import Manager to oversee and manage all import operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in freight forwarding, customs compliance, and team leadership. This role is responsible for ensuring smooth coordination of shipments, maintaining regulatory compliance, and delivering high-quality service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day import operations, including ocean, air, and ground shipments Oversee documentation, customs clearance, and compliance with U.S. import regulations Coordinate with overseas agents, carriers, customs brokers, and clients Supervise and mentor import staff to ensure productivity and accuracy Monitor shipment timelines and proactively resolve delays or issues Ensure compliance with CBP regulations and other government agencies Maintain strong relationships with customers and vendors Review and approve import documentation, invoices, and billing Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and service quality
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in freight forwarding/import operations Previous supervisory or management experience preferred Strong knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations and import procedures Experience with freight forwarding systems and logistics software Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
