Reporting to the Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary, you'll partner with diverse academic and administrative units to identify risks, develop strategic compliance frameworks, and serve as our institutional advocate for compliance excellence.

12 - 40 with an approximate salary range of $103,300-$125,660 and is subject to change based on experience, skills and qualifications.Key Accountabilities:
1. Enterprise Compliance Leadership & Strategy Develop, implement, and enhance the University's enterprise compliance framework. Define goals for future organizational performance and direct the integrated implementation and evaluation of compliance initiatives. Conduct periodic compliance assessments and establish annual compliance priorities. Monitor emerging laws and higher-education best practices (e.g., FERPA, GDPR, ADA, Clery, Title IX). Evaluate the effectiveness of strategic plans and adjust as necessary to meet University objectives. 2. Oversight of the Institutional Risk and Compliance Committee (IRCC) Along with the Director of Risk Management, serve as a primary facilitator and administrative lead for the Institutional Risk and Compliance Committee (IRCC). Establish meeting agendas that focus on high-level institutional risks, regulatory changes, and cross-departmental compliance gaps. Prepare and present compliance dashboards, metrics, and reports to inform the IRCC, senior leadership and board committees. Ensure that the IRCC's work is consistently integrated into the University's overall mission and strategic vision. 3. Policy Development & Program Management Lead the development, review, and revision of University-wide policies and procedures. Partner with OGC to interpret regulations and update policy language. Assist with and provide input regarding research-related programs and the intersection of compliance and federal funding, including export controls, foreign influence, and grant compliance. Assist with faculty-wide policy compliance, including but not limited to Conflict of Interest (COI) compliance, Collaborating Academic Visitors Policy, and the restricted party screening process. 4. Training, Investigations & Outreach Design and track mandatory compliance training programs. Support internal compliance investigations in collaboration with General Counsel, HR, and Internal Audit. Ensure anonymous reporting mechanisms and complaint resolution pathways are functional and publicized. Resolve compliance-related issues with diplomacy. 5. External Liaison & Budgetary Responsibility Act as a primary liaison with regulatory agencies, accreditation bodies, and auditors. Coordinate responses to inquiries, audits, and inspections. Participate in determining and managing the unit's budget.Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, law or related field; Master's Degree preferred
- Seven to ten years of progressive experience in compliance, risk management, or legal affairs
- Experience in a University or nonprofit environment preferred
- CCEP (Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional), CIA (Certified Internal Auditor), or related credentials preferred
