Girl Cosmetics as a Regulatory Compliance Manager in the Product Development Department.
The Regulatory Compliance Manager will:
Oversee all cosmetic programs at Beauty 21 Cosmetics, Inc. ensuring that they meet all regulatory and compliance standards. Establish company guidelines and direction for all domestic and international compliance activities. Support vendors by relaying complete and clear third-party testing requirements for products. Responsible for registering company products as required ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. Identify and implement facility certification/audits/regulations for cosmetic products for example, GMP, ISO (International Organization for Standardization). Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations (including but not limited to
MOCRA CSPC, CPSC
). Request, review and organize domestic and international region-specific ingredient listings as needed. Provide regulatory guidance, advice, risk analysis, and insight into future and existing products to achieve compliance and meet business objectives. Proactively manage product life cycle to communicate the company's regulatory strategies, key issues, and any other critical topics. Review and approve product labeling/artwork and other marketing materials with internal teams to ensure compliance with applicable regulations. Maintain knowledge of current and upcoming domestic and international cosmetic product regulations. Complete timely preparation of documents and submit for product filings & registration as required e.g., FDA, Cosmetics Supervision and Administration Regulation (CSAR), US Cosmetics Regulatory compliance, California Safe Cosmetics Act, Health Canada, CNF, EU, CPNP, Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), etc. Manage testing lab reports, regulatory files, and control documents such as SDS, TRAs, COA, CPC, etc. Maintain development of internal claims and regulatory databases such as restricted chemicals list(s), FD&C Act, FPLA etc. Complete and keep up to date on Certificate of Conformity forms as requested. Build and execute effective and efficient SOPs for domestic and international markets, ensuring regulatory compliance for all new product development regarding chemical, formula, and packaging compliance for all our products including but not limited to cosmetic products. Additional duties and responsibilities directed by management.
Skills Required:
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with internal employees of all levels as well as external clients. Process improvement mentality focusing on accuracy and thoroughness. Detail-oriented mindset, highly meticulous with a focus on continuous improvement. Self-starter with outstanding organizational and analytical skills. Team oriented with the ability to foster effective working relationships. Cosmetic ingredient and regulations knowledge. Proficient in MS Office Suite. Other duties as needed and directed by management. Minimum Education (or substitute experience) required: Bachelor's Degree Master's Degree in regulatory affairs is a plus. RA Certification in the U.S. (preferred) Minimum Experience required: 4 plus years Regulatory experience preferably in a cosmetic, or personal care industry. Must possess a solid understanding in cosmetics including FDC (Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act), FPLA (Fair Packaging and Labeling Act), US-FDA Regulations, GMP Standards (Good Manufacturing Practices Standards), MCR (Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act), MWA (Microbead-Free Waters Act)
