JOB PURPOSE
The Compliance Manager is responsible for helping ensure the company maintains compliance in all aspects of firearm laws by researching updates to any federal and/or state laws and become knowledgeable about any such changes and how it affects PSA along with helping to implement any company changes necessary as it pertains to these law updates.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Research and update any federal and/or state laws and become knowledgeable about any such changes and how it affects PSA along with helping to implement any company changes necessary as it pertains to these law updates. Create and update policies according to necessary compliance implementations or changes. Do all on-site audits of 4473's, A&D logs, NFA items, etc. Conduct training on compliance issues across the company. Manage all trace requests by the ATF Be the primary point of contact for compliance related questions within the company. Submit licenses for various firearm functions across the company. Maintain records needed for compliance with regulations. All other duties, as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have an Associate Degree OR over 4 years of experience Must have at least 2 years of experience logging firearms and checking serial numbers Must be able to use Microsoft Office Suite and be able to quickly learn other software programs Must be able to read, interpret, and teach firearm laws Must have a basic knowledge of the 4473, NFA paperwork, and state laws as it relates to firearms Must be very detail oriented Must have strong grammatical skills while being able to communicate well both written and verbally Must be willing to travel up to 3 times per week Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Must be a team player with strong interpersonal skills as this role with interface with many different types of employees, management, and government agencies Maintain confidentiality in all matters of compliance
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed in an operational warehouse environment, with some time spent in a typical office environment. Specific job assignments may require day, evening, weekend, or holiday hours. Overtime may be required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Team members are constantly standing, walking, carrying, pulling/pushing, bending, seeing, kneeling, stooping, reaching, hearing, as well as handing paperwork, and computer and phone usage. Team members will be lifting objects weighing 50 lbs. or less regularly.
