Job Overview Tea Trailblazers is seeking an experienced child care educator for our Curriculum and Compliance Manager position. This role will lead the development, implementation, and oversight of educational programs within our established child care center. This role is vital in ensuring that all curriculum aligns with age-appropriate learning from infants to school age children. This candidate also plays an important role in training new hires, ensuring all teachers are state compliant, teaching classroom management, and providing continuing education in the classrooms. This role will also work closely with all the children in the center while being the primary contact for the parents. This is a collaborative role with teachers, parents and the owner. The owner is at the center daily, and works closely with this position to ensure that our mission and vision for the center is implemented. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in early childhood education and experience in a childcare setting. Duties Develop weekly lesson plans that include literacy, math, science, sensory, art, music, small and large group play that follow the South Dakota Early Learning Guidelines. Manage teacher files to include in-classroom training, binder training, video training and CPR to ensure they are compliant with state requirements. Oversee classrooms daily to ensure positive support and a good work environment for the teachers. This role will also support in ratio as needed. Collaborate with teachers and educate on classroom management. Ensure classrooms have quarterly goals, toy and book rotations, and training techniques. Prepare the summer school age program with enrollment and field trips prior to beginning of the program. Utilize tools like Microsoft, childcare engagement app and office equipment. Have strong communication and leadership skills to work with teachers and parents. Support content for monthly newsletter and calendar. Requirements Must be 18 and over. Have a valid driver's license, be insurable and willing to drive a passenger van. Proven experience with early childhood education and within a center setting.
Pay:
$17.00 - $19.00 per hour
