- On-site About the Role MediaTech Institute is a private career college training the next generation of recording arts, film, animation, and music production professionals.
We're adding an experienced Financial Aid Compliance Manager to work alongside our current financial aid representative — not a trainee, but a seasoned aid professional who can run the full Title IV cycle independently and bring real depth on the compliance and audit side. If you've spent years in Title IV, know career-school financial aid inside and out, this is built for you. What You'll Do Own the full financial aid cycle: funding, ISIR processing, packaging, award letters, and disbursement reconciliation Guide students through FAFSA, verification (including V5), corrections, dependency overrides, and parent PLUS scenarios — virtually and in person Handle drops, Leaves of Absence, and Return to Title IV (R2T4) calculations Manage NSLDS enrollment reporting and keep records accurate and current Certify and support VA benefits for veteran students Lead audit preparation and serve as a senior resource on ACCSC, TWC, and Department of Education compliance Coordinate with the Texas Workforce Commission, our third-party servicer, and financing partners What We're Looking For At least 5+ years of hands-on Title IV financial aid experience, with independent ownership of packaging, disbursement, R2T4, and federal reporting Direct compliance and audit experience — you've led or substantially supported audits and/or program reviews Confidence interpreting federal regulation and applying it without someone checking your work Strong command of NSLDS, COD, and studentaid.gov / FSA Partner Connect Real experience with verification, dependency overrides, and professional judgment Someone who can be the person others come to with the hard questions Strongly Preferred Experience at a career, vocational, or proprietary/for-profit institution — the disbursement, payment-period, and compliance model differs meaningfully from traditional universities, and that difference matters here. VA School Certifying Official (SCO) experience Familiarity with TWC and Texas state requirements Prior leadership or supervisory experience in a financial aid office
