In-person work on campus is an essential function of this position. Essential Functions Assist in the development and oversight of the intercollegiate budget and provide fiscal overview for the athletic program and intramurals. Support strategic planning efforts related to athletic facilities and recommend improvements to facilities and equipment. Support and coordinate daily operations including planning and execution of the budget process and team travel. Ensure compliance and remain current with all applicable National Junior Collegiate Athletic Association (NJCAA), Western Junior College Athletic Conference (WJCAC), and University Interscholastic League (UIL) regulations. Interpret, enforce, and provide guidance to coaches and staff members on rules and regulations, as well as District policies and procedures that pertain to game operations. Report to the Athletic Director on the organization's compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Address noncompliance issues by conducting regular audits, developing corrective action plans, and identifying areas of risk. Serve as primary Game Day supervisor for athletic events. Plan, organize, and coordinate events. Accordingly, serve as a point of contact for Physical Plant, El Paso Community College (EPCC) Police Department, and any concessions personnel. Act as game announcer when needed and maintain game statistics. Collaborate with the Public Relations and Marketing Department to coordinate media initiatives and promote athletic events. Establish and maintain media contacts and ensure all EPCC material uses the approved logo and maintain consistent quality. Serve as liaison and representative for team media interviews and other media opportunities that may develop. Attend and serve as a liaison to the WJCAC in the absence of the Director. Lead, develop, and implement programs and strategies that support intercollegiate athletics, intramurals, and student-athletes success, including retention, academic readiness, stress management, and wellness. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's Degree and five (5) years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience which demonstrates possession of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.NOTE:
