Nature & Purpose of Position Performs complex coordination and managerial work administering the daily operations and activities of Bill Blackwood LEMIT . Primary Responsibilities Manages Bill Blackwood LEMIT programs and activities of assigned staff. Develops and approves schedules, priorities and standards for achieving goals. Plans, implements, coordinates, monitors, and evaluates policies and procedures. Monitors compliance with policies and procedures. Develops, implements and evaluates program materials. Identifies areas of change and makes recommendations to improve operations. Monitors budget and expenses within programs. Travels to facilitate training programs and attend conferences, trainings, and other law enforcement entities on behalf of LEMIT and SHSU . Performs other related duties as assigned. Other Specifications Knowledge of local, state and federal laws. Requires the ability to manage business functions. Communicates with other university departments, personnel and other agencies. A strong communication skill set is preferred. Must have excellent computer skills, experience in coordination skills and a broad understanding of financial budgets. Some travel is required.
