The Regulatory Compliance Manager is responsible for overseeing and implementing programs that ensure regulatory compliance, worker safety, environmental compliance, and food safety standards across all operational areas, including field, warehouse, refrigeration, and facility environments. This position serves as the primary point of contact for all regulatory compliance programs and agency interactions, including L&I, DOE, OSHA, EPA, FDA, Tier II Reporting, PSM, and other applicable federal, state, and local regulatory requirements. This role is responsible for maintaining compliance through timely reporting, permit management, regulatory documentation, audit coordination, and continuous monitoring of regulatory updates. The Regulatory Compliance Manager collaborates cross-functionally with Production, HR, Supply Chain, Facility & Refrigeration, Quality Control, and Maintenance departments to promote a culture of safety, accountability, operational compliance, and continuous improvement.
Essential Functions:
Regulatory Compliance & Certification Management:
Serve as a point of contact for all regulatory compliance programs and third-party audits related to safety, sanitation, organic certification, environmental compliance, and food safety (EFI, OSHA, EPA, FDA, DOE, L&I, Tier II Reporting, etc.). Manage and/or lead interactions, inspections, audits, and communications with regulatory authorities and compliance agencies. Coordinate and support Process Safety Management (PSM) program requirements and documentation. Maintain compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations. Maintain all records and documentation related to certifications, inspections, permits, registrations, licenses, and regulatory compliance activities. Ensure timely submission, reporting, renewal, and tracking of all permits, licenses, certifications, registrations, and regulatory filings, including organic certification requirements. Stay current on regulatory updates and ensure company practices and procedures remain compliant with changing regulatory requirements.
SQF and Food Safety Program:
Lead in the SQF program for both warehouse and field operations, including documentation, internal audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement activities. Lead in the implementation and maintenance of food safety protocols, including traceability, allergen control, sanitation verification, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Worker Safety and OSHA Compliance:
Lead in the company's Injury and Accident Prevention Program (AIPP). Conduct regular workplace safety audits, hazard assessments, and job safety analyses. Ensure compliance with OSHA and related safety regulations; manage incident investigations, reporting, and corrective actions.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in environmental health & safety, Food Science, Agricultural Science, Industrial Management, Regulatory Compliance, or related field preferred. Minimum three years of experience in regulatory compliance, safety, environmental compliance, or food safety within agricultural, food processing, manufacturing, refrigeration, or warehouse operations preferred. At least three years of demonstrated experience in people management, including employee development, performance evaluation, and interviewing and selection of candidates.

Pay:
$90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
