As a Senior Finance Manager, you will help shape how new commercial offerings come to market by driving finance compliance, launch readiness, and scalable governance across a complex, fast-moving business. You will join the New Commerce Finance Compliance Engagement Team within Microsoft Planning and Launch, partnering closely across Finance, Engineering, Operations, Business Planning, and Business Development. In this role, you will assess launch requests, identify financial risk, clarify requirements, and help deliver compliant, high-quality launches at scale. This is a high-visibility opportunity for a finance leader who thrives in ambiguity, influences across functions, and enjoys improving processes that support innovation with strong financial integrity. Responsibilities In this role, you will: Lead end-to-end finance compliance execution for commercial pricing and revenue bundle allocations in partnership with finance, accounting, and operations teams. Own the Commercial Per User financial compliance launch portfolio, ensuring alignment with Microsoft finance policies and accounting standards. Drive scalable process improvements and automation to increase efficiency and reduce manual effort. Influence senior stakeholders and help shape finance governance frameworks across cross-functional teams. Qualifications Minimum /
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in finance or related field AND 4+ years experience in finance or financial compliance OR equivalent experience. Additional or preferred qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Finance or related field AND 8+ years experience in finance or financial compliance OR Master's Degree in finance or related field AND 6+ years experience in finance or financial compliance OR equivalent experience. 5+ years of experience in finance, accounting, financial compliance, or a related function. Demonstrated understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and compliance requirements. Strategic thinking and clear communication skills with the ability to influence at multiple levels of the organization. Top notch organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines. Effective collaboration skills across Finance, Engineering, Product, and Business Planning teams. Experience working across complex, cross-functional organizations and influencing without direct authority. Comfort navigating ambiguity and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Exposure to product launches, offer management, or commercialization models. Familiarity with financial modeling, data analysis, or reporting tools such as Excel or Power BI. Knowledge of compliance frameworks, audit processes, and governance tools. Experience driving process automation, systems integration, and scalable operating frameworks. Ability to facilitate decision-making forums and translate financial implications into clear actions. Finance Compliance IC4
  • The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $97,600
  • $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $125,000
  • $206,400 per year.
