Job Description
LOST COAST BREWERY COMPLIANCE COORDINATOR
The purpose of this job description is to define the general character and scope of responsibilities of the position. It is not intended to describe or list every duty or task for the position.Definition:
Under the general direction of the Business Manager, the Compliance Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that the brewery is in compliance with federal, state and local regulations related to the manufacturing and sale of malt beverages. Various related and unrelated administrative tasks will also be assigned.General Description:
Compliance Coordinator is a regular, full-time position. Ensure that all products are properly registered (state, federal, foreign). Maintain trademarks, word marks and formulas. Research applicable laws and codes. Renews existing licenses and permits as well as applies for new permits. Prepare reports. Maintain schedules. Work is usually done in an office environment.Examples of Duties:
Maintain compliance with federal, state and local regulations related to the manufacture and sale of malted beverages. Assist in compliance with regulations in foreign countries. Submits formulas and label registration to ABC, TTB, and others as appropriate. Trademark, word mark and formula applications and renewals. Resolve discrepancies, and responds to inquiries related to formulas, label registrations and trademarks. Research local, state and federal laws and codes for proper procedures. Understand, complete and maintain various governmental forms. Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for compliance with regulatory agencies and deadlines. Create and maintain library of SOPS, reference materials, and forms. Assist with various duties to include but not limited to safety and Human Resource tasks.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of safe work practices. Knowledge of procedures for registration of trademarks. Knowledge of ABC and TTB regulations related to the manufacture and sale of malted beverages Solid computer skills, including ability to research and obtain accurate information. Good communications skills, both oral and written. Be resourceful in finding answers, resolving issues, and determining appropriate procedures. Research and interpret governmental and regulatory agency laws, codes, procedures, forms. Ability to work well with others. Ability to understand and carry-out job responsibilities. Ability to stay current with industry-related regulations. Ability to research and resolve issues. Ability to prepare reports. Ability to read and follow directions. Ability to work with minimal supervision.Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED. Experience as paralegal, or research analyst would be beneficial. Three years of increasingly-responsible experience involving regulatory compliance, high-level administrative tasks; or similar job duties.Job Type:
